I am truly honoured to join you for this auspicious occasion, as we come together to celebrate the many important contributions made by Tamil Canadians to our community, and to all of Canada. The commitment to cultural diversity in Canada has long been of great importance to me, and the Tamil community is a critical part of the multicultural fabric that defines the City of Toronto, and Scarborough-Guildwood in particular
