Greetings from Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie:

Personal Message from Mayor Bonnie Crombie:

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, I would like to recognize the volunteers, members and leadership of the National Council of Canadian Tamils, for organizing their Annual Dinner celebrations.

This event brings together people, of all backgrounds, to celebrate the important economic, charitable, volunteer and public service contributions that Tamil Canadians have made to communities like Mississauga. Our City is a more inclusive and dynamic place because of these efforts.

In January 2015, we marked the first Tamil Heritage Month – a milestone officially proclaimed by the Ontario Provincial Parliament. For all Mississaugans and Canadians, Tamil Heritage Month is also an opportunity to celebrate and educate future generations about the rich history and culture of the broader Tamil community.

Let me once again offer my sincerest congratulations to everyone on this most auspicious occasion. Thank you to the National Council of Canadian Tamils for your commitment to build stronger community relations with all people and organizations.

Warmest Regards,
Bonnie Crombie, MBA, ICD.D Mayor, City of Mississauga
